Kenwood Recruitment Solutions Ltd are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected housing provider seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to join their team.

This rewarding role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting vulnerable adults and helping individuals maintain stable accommodation, improve well-being, and move towards independent living.

The Opportunity

As a Housing Support Worker, you will work directly with tenants who may be facing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other complex needs. You’ll provide practical support, tenancy guidance, and regular welfare checks while also helping manage housing properties to a high standard.

This is a varied position where no two days are the same — combining people-focused support work with housing and property responsibilities.

Supporting Tenants

* Building positive and professional relationships with residents

* Assisting individuals to sustain their tenancies and live independently

* Supporting with benefits, appointments, budgeting, and accessing local services

* Carrying out support planning, risk assessments, and well-being checks

* Encouraging tenant engagement and promoting positive outcomes

Managing Properties

* Monitoring property standards and reporting maintenance issues

* Supporting with void turnaround and new tenant sign-ups

* Conducting regular property inspections and occupancy checks

* Maintaining accurate records and housing documentation

Promoting Safe Environments

* Completing health & safety checks including fire safety inspections

* Ensuring properties remain compliant with required regulations

* Reporting incidents and concerns appropriately

Working with Others

* Liaising with external professionals and support agencies

* Collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver effective support services

* Contributing to team meetings and service improvements

What We’re Looking For

✔ Previous experience in housing support, tenancy support, homelessness services, or supported living

✔ Experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs

✔ Strong communication and organisational skills

✔ Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

✔ Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

✔ Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

Desirable Experience

* Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management

* Experience using housing management systems

* Relevant qualification in housing, health & social care, or support work

* Driver with access to own car (not essential)

Personal Qualities

We’re looking for someone who is:

* Compassionate and approachable

* Reliable and self-motivated

* Calm under pressure

* Professional with excellent people skills

* Committed to delivering high-quality support services

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive organisation making a real difference within local communities. You’ll play a key role in empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and stability in their lives.
