Structural Engineer

We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Structural Engineer for their Hemel Hempstead office. The business delivers a broad range of residential and commercial projects across the UK and has built a strong reputation for technical quality, collaboration, and long-term client relationships.

The role would suit an engineer with experience working on residential developments, including housing schemes, extensions, and low- to mid-rise buildings, alongside strong report writing and technical assessment skills. You’ll be involved in structural design, site inspections, surveys, and producing clear technical reports for clients and project teams.

The Role

Structural design on a range of residential projects
Preparation of structural reports, calculations, and technical documentation
Site visits, inspections, and structural assessments
Working closely with architects, developers, and contractors
Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction

Requirements

Experience working within a UK consultancy environment
Residential project experience essential
Strong report writing and communication skills
Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and design standards
Proficient with structural design software and AutoCAD/Revit experience beneficial
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
