Academics Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in Huddersfield, who are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. ✨ Your Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement behaviour strategies
Build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
🙋 Who We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs (in schools, youth work, care or similar)
Calm, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills
A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for helping children succeed
Ability to remain consistent and fair when managing behaviour
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection
