💼 The RoleAs a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital part in helping students aged 11-16 feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. You'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and specialist practitioners to:
Build positive, trusting relationships with students
Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
Create a calm, nurturing environment that promotes learning
Provide in‑class support and targeted interventions
Model resilience, empathy, and consistency
This is a school that truly values its staff, invests in training, and champions a whole‑school trauma‑informed approach. You'll be joining a team that believes in compassion, connection, and high expectations.
🎓 Who We're Looking ForWe'd love to hear from you if:
You have recent experience (within the last three years) working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting OR
You have supported young people aged 11-16 in other environments (youth work, mentoring, residential care, sports coaching, alternative provision, etc.)
Most importantly, you bring:
A calm, patient, and reflective approach
A genuine commitment to supporting young people with additional needs
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
A willingness to learn and grow within a trauma‑informed framework
