General Teaching Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys working with children of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support to teachers across EYFS, KS1, or KS2

Assist in preparing learning materials and setting up classroom activities

Support pupils during independent, group, and whole-class tasks

Help maintain positive behaviour and promote a calm, purposeful atmosphere

Offer additional support to pupils who need extra help accessing the curriculum

Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, or school events as required

Contribute to the organisation of learning environments and resources

Support assessment by observing and feeding back on pupil engagement and progress

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with children in a school or educational setting

Is patient, supportive, and committed to helping pupils succeed

Works well as part of a team and communicates confidently

Can follow teacher guidance while also using their own initiative

Is adaptable, reliable, and able to remain calm in busy situations

Is enthusiastic about contributing to school life and pupil wellbeing

Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
