This mechanical engineering opportunity will sit right at the centre of key NPI projects, transforming hi-tech, electro-mechanical products from concept to manufacturing. You’ll be joining an established UK manufacturer, who are one of the only companies in the country who produce this niche, hi-end technology, which supplies a vast range of hi-grade industries.
The team is growing across multiple areas, from mechanical to electronics and software, and this is an exciting time to join in a phase of growth, with the business recently expanding their facility due to increased demand.
Working alongside a team of NPI specialists, you’ll be working in tandem with R&D, quality and manufacturing, ensuring products are efficiently designed and validated for production, assembly and test. You’ll support design processes by using key tools like DFMEA, 3D CAD systems and GD&T.
What are we looking for?
Mechanical engineering experience within a highly technical, electro-mechanical engineering/manufacturing environment.
Technical qualification (degree) - in mechanical engineering or similar
Proficient with 3D CAD, GD&T, tolerance stack analysis and DFMEA’sDesirable:
Any industry experience within hand-held electro-mechanical devices or optics
lean manufacturing, test rigs, managing SOP’s and working in a cleanroom
Exposure to Standards: Military, ISO etc~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
