We're recruiting for a Lead Pricing Discount Modelling Analyst to join a market-leading consumer business at a pivotal stage of its pricing and retention transformation.
This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to influence pricing and discounting strategy across one of the UK's largest consumer portfolios. You'll combine advanced analytics, modelling expertise, and commercial insight to develop innovative pricing solutions that drive profitability, improve customer outcomes, and support long-term business growth.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Pricing, Finance, Marketing, and Consumer Leadership, you'll play a key role in shaping strategic decisions and ensuring the business remains at the forefront of pricing innovation.
What You'll Be Doing
✔ Leading the development and enhancement of pricing and discount models that support acquisition, retention, profitability, and customer value
✔ Using advanced statistical techniques to predict customer behaviours such as purchase propensity, retention, cancellation, and engagement
✔ Analysing market, competitor, and customer data to identify opportunities for pricing optimisation and commercial growth
✔ Developing forecasting models and providing insight into trading performance and forecast variances
✔ Monitoring model performance, validating deployment accuracy, and recommending enhancements to improve predictive capability
✔ Supporting the delivery of pricing strategy and key business initiatives across the Consumer division
✔ Ensuring all pricing decisions comply with FCA requirements, governance frameworks, and internal approval processes
✔ Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Compliance, and Senior Leadership teams
What We're Looking For
✔ Proven pricing experience within Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, or another highly analytical commercial environment
✔ Strong experience in discount modelling, pricing analytics, or customer behaviour modelling
✔ Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques, with experience of GLMs and exposure to GBMs highly desirable
✔ Strong coding skills using SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Python, R, or similar analytical tools
✔ Experience working with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
✔ Experience using pricing or modelling platforms such as Emblem, Radar, Earnix, or similar would be advantageous
✔ Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business recommendations
✔ Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior decision-makers
✔ Degree qualified in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or another numerate discipline
