Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and inclusive Professional Development Lead to join our team. In this role, you will champion the growth and continuous learning of our diverse workforce, fostering an environment of equity and inclusion. Your leadership will ensure that all employees have access to personalised professional development opportunities that align with their career goals and our organisational mission.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage comprehensive professional development programs that cater to the unique needs of all employees, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Collaborate with leadership and teams across departments to identify skills gaps and growth opportunities.
Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and coaching programs that empower employees at every level.
Evaluate the effectiveness of professional development initiatives and continuously improve based on feedback and changing organisational needs.
Advocate for equitable access to learning resources and opportunities, ensuring inclusivity for underrepresented groups.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in professional development and adult learning methodologies.
Foster a supportive and respectful learning environment where all voices are heard and valued.

Qualifications

Proven experience in professional development, talent management, or a related field.
Strong understanding and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to design engaging and accessible learning programs for a diverse employee base.
Experience with learning management systems and virtual training platforms is a plus.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Day-to-Day

Collaborate with HR and department leaders to schedule and promote development activities.
Lead interactive training sessions and individual coaching conversations.
Monitor participation and progress in learning programs using data and feedback.
Identify and address barriers to learning for underrepresented employees.
Research and introduce innovative learning tools and resources.
Prepare reports on professional development outcomes and present them to stakeholders.
