Master Scheduler

Location: Hampshire (site-based role)
Security Clearance: DV Cleared (essential)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Contract Duration: 3 months +

The Role

As Master Scheduler, you will work closely with Project Managers, PMO teams, and delivery leadership to ensure all programmes and projects are planned, tracked, and delivered in line with agreed timelines.

You will play a key role in driving scheduling standards, identifying risks, and providing insight into delivery performance across complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated programme and project schedules across multiple workstreams
  • Ensure all milestones, dependencies, and critical paths are clearly defined and actively managed
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure schedules align with delivery plans, resources, and contractual commitments
  • Provide schedule analysis, forecasting, and impact assessments to support decision-making
  • Identify and manage scheduling risks, issues, and opportunities for optimisation
  • Support governance by producing status reports, dashboards, and schedule updates
  • Implement and maintain DXC scheduling standards, tools, and controls across the account
  • Coach and support delivery teams in effective planning and scheduling practices

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in project/programme scheduling or PMO roles within complex environments
  • Strong expertise in scheduling tools such as MS Project or equivalent planning tools
  • Solid understanding of project and programme management methodologies
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret scheduling data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Essential Requirements

  • DV (Developed Vetting) clearance - mandatory
  • Ability to work on-site in Hampshire
