Salary and Hours
* £50,000 - £60,000, dependant on experience
* 40 hours per week, with an earlier finish on Friday’s
* 28 days holiday, which increases with service
Commutable From: Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield, Leicester, Newark on Trent, Grantham
Role Overview / Focus
* The Senior Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for executing concept design, product development, design for manufacture, firmware development, certification and production test.
* You will work within a wider team that includes project management, mechanical / industrial design, software, test and compliance.
Senior Electronic Design Engineer Candidate Key Requirements
* Proven, demonstrable experience as a Senior Electronic Design Engineer
* You will ideally hold an Electrical Electronic Engineering degree; other qualifications will be considered.
* Proficient in using Altium Designer or a comparable package (will need to migrate to Altium).
* Firmware C / C++ and Linux Yocto experience will be highly advantageous.
* You will have strong analytical and design skills, along with IT proficiency.
* Knowledge of different manufacturing processes.
* You will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with at all levels, along with the ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully, building your own project plan.
Senior Electronic Design Engineer Key Responsibilities
* Design and development of new products, parts and components from concept through to final product.
* Produce Schematics, PCB layouts, PCB CAD Multilayer, Detailed assembly drawings, Bills of Materials incompliance with IPC and ISO9001 standards.
* Carrying out design calculations and analysis to satisfy all aspects of design including cost efficiency.
* Ensure EMC compliance, and product meets electrically safety requirements.
* Work with a wider software / firmware team and able to make firmware contributions at lower level.
* Work with suppliers / manufacturers and provide technical documentation and test specifications.
* The accurate estimation of project completion time, manage workflow, milestones and reporting.
* Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures.
