Stock Controller / Assembly Technician
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Controller / Assembly Technician to join a busy and growing workshop team in Southend-on-Sea.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining stock control, stores support and component assembly, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a practical working environment and thrives in a role with variety.
Key responsibilities:
Assembling parts and components to required specifications
Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
Maintaining and replenishing stock levels
Picking and issuing parts for workshop technicians
Supporting stores operations during busy periods and holidays
Liaising with suppliers regarding parts and deliveries
Carrying out stock checks and cycle counting
Replenishing workshop consumablesThe ideal candidate:
Has previous experience within stock control, stores, assembly, warehouse or production environments
Has strong attention to detail and enjoys practical, hands-on work
Confident following instructions and technical processes
Computer literate and comfortable updating systems
Works well as part of a team with a proactive attitude
