Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Lambeth (SW2), supporting pupils with very severe autism and complex needs.
This role is suited to a calm, resilient, and nurturing SEN TA who is confident working with high‑needs pupils, including personal care, and who understands the importance of consistency, structure, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and in‑class support for pupils with severe autism and complex needs
Support pupils with personal care, ensuring dignity and safeguarding at all times
Follow EHCPs and individual support plans
Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEN teamRequirements
Proven experience supporting children with severe autism / high SEN needs
Comfortable with personal care
Experience within a primary school or SEN setting
Calm, patient, and reliable approach
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practiceWhat the School Offers

Clear routines and structured support
