Electrical Engineer | Bristol, 3 days in office - 2 days WFH | Outside IR35

I am on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer who can be involved in LV through to 132kV. The role will involve working as part of a team to Review Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Contestable Connection Offers and completing designs that conform to the relevant DNO policies, British and IEC standards.

Day to day:

• Produce the following reports/drawings:
• The design and conceptual design of both the grid connection and private network infrastructure from LV up to and including 132kV.
• Cable sizing studies.
• Switchgear selection and specification.
• Transformer selection and specification.
• CT and VT sizing studies.
• Battery Charger sizing studies.
• Small Power and Lighting Design.
• Control room/Switchroom layout design.
• Produce designs that follow EP policies, UK standards and legislation, DNO/IDNO policies and employer's requirements
• Responsible for the issue of the deliverables in line with the project program
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• AutoCAD experience.
• Experience in Contracting/Consulting or working with IDNO's, DNO's or ICP's.
• HV/EHV experience.
• Working to BSEN, IEC,IEEE & CENELEC Standards.
• Experience in Power Systems Studies
