Job Title: Lead Project Engineer
Project Engineer NPD

This is a real opportunity for a Project Engineer to support new development projects (NPD) within a growing, highly innovative engineering business with ongoing career development opportunities.
You will have responsibility across several high-profile projects at varying stages of development, taking a key role in the project engineering team delivering technical assessment, analysis and data review for across key projects throughout the project lifecycle.
As Project Engineer your key accountabilities will include assignment of tasks, providing oversight of the technical solutions acting as a key point of contact with the customer for critical project discussions.
With a mechanical / electro-mechanical project Engineering background, you will have exposure to development of new mechanical / electro-mechanical projects from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
Delivering on time, quality technical solutions to customers
Representing the company in customer meetings and reviews
Ensuring that you meet schedule adherence to the technical tasks for your own projects, and for co-ordinating the work of multi-disciplined engineers
Supporting the allocation of work across the department
Defining technical work packages
Timely technical review of project documentation prior to formal release
Cost reduction and improvement strategy and implementation projects agreed with the Engineering ManagerTo succeed you will ideally have
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar related engineering subject
Proven mechanical (or closely aligned) project experience within a complex engineering environment
New product development experience from concept to delivery
Experience working to tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication
