ServiceNow Developer

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a ServiceNow Consultant/Developer for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £496/day (Outside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.

Responsibilities:

- Resolution and escalation of ServiceNow related issues and risks.
- Proactive monitoring, maintenance and support of system performance, data, capacity and capability and recommending improvement opportunities.
- Training, guidance, and 'Show and Tell' sessions of developed solutions.
- Creating specialist knowledge and governance documentation to support best practices and developing standards for ServiceNow
- Carry out patching activities
- Managing upgrades, patches and system clones to the platform
- Development of the following system modules:

1. ITSM Module
2. Self Service Portal (with Flow Designer)

iii. CMDB & Foundation Data

1. Knowledge Management
2. HR Service Delivery
3. IRM

vii. As per the Service Enablement roadmap

Essential Skills:

- Experience of the current version of the ServiceNow platform
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of the platform mechanics and best practices
- Experience working with Import Sets, Transform Maps and Robust Transforms via IRE
- Knowledge of CMDB, CSDM & Asset Management
- Experience in development of at least one of the following:

1. Self-Service Portal (beyond Catalogue Items)
2. AD/Azure AD Integration

iii. Scoped Applications

1. Strong teamwork, self-managing and self-initiative, coaching, collaboration and communication skills
2. HTML, XML, CSS & JSON
3. JavaScript development independent of and within the ServiceNow framework

Desirable Skills:

- Exposure to Agile working methods
- Configuration/customisation of workspaces
- Configuration of Employee Centre
