ASIC Test Engineer

Initial 1 year contract + extension possible

Our client provides the flexibility to work both from their office premises in Leuven and remotely from home. This to maintain a healthy work-life balance while being an integral part of their team.

A Test Engineer for integrated circuit (ASIC) test solutions within our client acts as the technical support interface between their international customers and test partners. Taking up responsibility for all the technical aspects of the test solution, including characterization and qualification of our client's customer integrated circuits.

The assignment

• The definition and overall planning of the work packages of the different project stages, together with the Project Manager.
• Setting up the ASIC test solution with the test house.
• Organizing Radiation Test campaigns for Space products.
• Discussing the ASIC prototype-to-production volume ramp plan with the customer including characterization & qualification.
• Organizing volume production after the volume ramp phase.
• Propose cost improvement plans such as yield improvement plans, multi-site test solutions and different packaging options together with the customer and test house.

Required knowledge and skills

• Master's degree in Electronics
• Preferably more than 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in project-based work.
• Pro-active and customer focused.
• Good knowledge of English is mandatory.
• Willing to travel on a regular basis (1 week/month) to our sub-contractors
