(Control Operator, Support Consultant, 2nd Line Support, Second Line Support)

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for an IT Control Operator.

Execute various technical operations 24/7 and be the point of contact in case of IT problems (as 2nd line of support) to ensure the daily functioning of the customer's infrastructure system and applications for users internal and/or external concerned.

Perform maintenance and test operations by following the procedures and the schedule in order to participate in the validation and availability of systems and/or functionalities developed by other collaborators.

Take stock of the various IT problems encountered during his/her work schedule to his/hrt peers and propose concrete solutions to them in order to improve existing procedures and documentation relating to IT problems.

Keep constantly informed of changes and developments in its field and develop knowledge related to the activities of its entity in order to strengthen its credibility through a service that is constantly based on updated knowledge.

Receive external technicians, validate their access, escort them to the appropriate areas within the customer and verify that their intervention is completed in order to guarantee their easy movement and compliance with security measures as well as ensure that the work requested is strictly carried out.

Provide support to users, in particular on the basis of the available documentation and transfer requests to a 3rd line in the event of questions that are beyond its scope in order to offer a fast and friendly service responding to ICT questions and problems of users.

Information complexity

The function requires the analysis and integration of information as well as the design of alternatives to solve IT problems. The incumbent must be able to critically study the information, form an opinion on the available information and be able to draw conclusions in order to provide the best solution. The incumbent must be familiar with the processes and documentation available, have a broad practical knowledge in the IT field as well as the infrastructures and applications in order to assist users.

The candidate must not necessarily cover all different aspects but should clearly indicate the major high-skill areas.

Technical skills:

Windows (server/Workstation/O365) & Azure Cloud basics.

Linux/Solaris.

VMWare & VCS.

Networks/Firewall/BigIP (Cisco Nexus, Paloalto, F5, ).

SAN/Storage:

1.IBM Storwize (V7000, V5000).

2.IBM Flash (FS900, FS9200).

3.IBM SVC (Spectrum Virtualize).

4.Brocade DCX SAN switch.

Backup:

1.Veritas Netbackup.

2.5330 Veritas Appliances.

3.Oracle SL4000 libraries + T10K and LTO8 magnetic cassette readers.

'security (certificates, PKI, etc.).

CA- Autosys: scheduling of batch jobs with Workload Management console WLM.

Monitoring tools:

1.MonitorNow from System Integrator.

2.Jaws, monitoring of batch jobs locks.

3.Nagios, Icinga, etc.

4.Itil Process (Fundamentals).

5.Familiar with Service Now task/incident tracking tools (or equivalent).

Soft skills:

Good team player and willingness to learn and collaborate inter- and intra-team

Correct follow-up of tasks and priorities No specific certifications are required but experience in big environments with strict regulatory requirements is a non to be ignored must.
