Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PMO Manager to join our team in Spain. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, with a proven track record in managing large-scale programs and projects across diverse industries. This role will play a pivotal part in driving project governance, standardising methodologies, and ensuring successful delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the PMO function, ensuring consistent project delivery frameworks and methodologies are implemented and adhered to.
- Manage project governance, risk management, and performance reporting across multiple concurrent projects.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and project managers to define project objectives, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, tracking KPIs and ensuring transparent reporting to leadership.
- Facilitate project reviews, post-mortems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing insights and recommendations on project portfolio management.
- Manage cross-functional communication and ensure alignment between technical and business teams.
- Lead project management capability development through coaching and mentoring.
- Support the budgeting and financial tracking of projects within the portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written) is essential.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management or PMO roles, ideally in large or global organizations.
- Strong experience in project governance, portfolio management, and resource planning.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Experience working in fast-paced, multicultural, and cross-functional environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in PMP, Prince2, or PMI-PgMP is highly desirable.
- Experience working within industries such as technology, finance, or retail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in hybrid project delivery models.
