Job Title: Azure Project Engineer
Location: Hybrid working (Client based in Chesterfield)
Contract: Permanent Full Time

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

Overview:

Our client, who provides IT Support services to Businesses is looking for an experienced Azure Project Engineer to join their established team. The Azure Project Engineer will deliver technical governance for various projects aimed at their customers, ensuring effective and efficient execution to meet strategic goals. This role requires planning and oversight to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, necessitating prior IT project management experience and a strong technical background, particularly in networking and Microsoft Azure.

The Azure Project Engineer will collaborate closely with the IT Operations Manager and Strategic Account Managers to update them about all active projects, and provide a smooth transition of projects to the Service Desk for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects that meet customer expectations regarding cost, time, scope, quality, and security
  • Provide regular updates to clients, exceeding their expectations
  • Execute technical projects and support the skill development of Project Support Engineers
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Set clear objectives for team members throughout the project
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction
  • Provide monthly project pipeline and utilisation data

Sills Required:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and AVD is essential
  • Previous experience as a project engineer is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, virtual environments (VMWare), SQL Server, Microsoft stack, networking, Active Directory, and Antivirus solutions
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS and AVD is essential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload calmly and methodically
  • PRINCE2 or APM qualification is desirable but not mandatory
  • Commitment to contributing to the vision
