AWS and PHP DevOps Engineer

Position: Permanent

Location: London (Hybrid: Tuesday and Thursday in the office)

Salary: Up to £80K

Role

We're seeking a highly skilled AWS and PHP DevOps Engineer to spearhead our technical advancements and ensure the security and performance of our systems.

This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Cloudflare, coupled with strong DevOps practices and a keen eye for security.

What you will do

* Cloud Architecture and Engineering: Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.

* DevOps and Automation: Foster a DevOps culture, automate infrastructure provisioning, and streamline deployment processes using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

* Security and Compliance: Prioritise security by implementing strong security measures, staying updated on industry best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).

* Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimise system performance, leveraging Cloudflare for enhanced security and performance.

* Migration and Modernisation: Lead cloud migration projects, modernising legacy infrastructure and leveraging serverless technologies for efficiency.

* Cost Management: Implement cost-effective strategies, optimise cloud resource utilisation, and track cloud budgets.

* Team Leadership and Collaboration: Mentor and guide the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Technical Expertise:

* Deep knowledge of AWS services, including serverless environments and containerisation

* Proficiency in Cloudflare for web application firewall, DNS, CDN

* Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and encryption techniques

* Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)

* Familiarity with PHP development and web application frameworks is nice to have

Key Skills

* Minimum 7+ years of experience with the majority of working with Public Sector customers

* Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and Cloudflare

* Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and security principles

* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

* An active UK Security Clearance (SC Cleared) is a must
