DCT Recruitment Ltd are looking for a permanent Food Production Manager to work with our forever growing client. The products produced are CBD oil products, experience within this area would be beneficial.
The production manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of production. They manage a team of employees, ensure quality and safety standards, and maintain production schedules.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing: manufacturing, production and storage processes
• Procuring: factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
• Planning: Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production schedules
• Budgeting: Estimate, negotiate, and agree on budgets with clients and managers. Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
• Quality control: Determine quality control standards and monitor quality
• Safety: Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself. Implementing safety, health, environment, and quality requirements and regulations.
• Inventory management: Manage inventory and ensure orders are met on time
• Staff management: Supervise and motivate a team of workers. Training and coaching Warehouse and Factory Operators
• Process improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations. Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies
• Reporting: Generate production reports and analyse KPIs. Monitoring productivity rates, standards, and quality control.
• Communication: Communicate clearly and persuasively with team members, managers, vendors, suppliers, customers and clients.
• Maintaining computerised administration, stock inventory and retrieval systems
• Inspecting and approving the quality and quantity of goods or equipment received and shipped out
• Overseeing logistics of receiving, warehousing and dispatch operations
• Meeting regularly with warehouse leads to assess, analyse and develop actionable plans for loss prevention and productivity.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm
Five years experience as a production manager is required.
HACCP
L2 or L3 food safety
Knowledge of MintSoft (desirable) or a WMS system
Skills Required
Skills
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards
• Ability to understand and implement food-processing techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to act decisively and solve problems
• Analytical skills to collect and interpret data
• Negotiation skills to get materials within budget and on time
