Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps Engineer (Java)
We're looking for a highly skilled SRE / DevOps Engineer with strong Java expertise to join a dynamic team in Birmingham. This fully on-site role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring seamless system performance. You'll play a key role in managing incidents, optimizing infrastructure, and enhancing system reliability.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Managing incidents, problem resolution, and system changes
✅ Improving application stability and operational workflows
✅ Reducing downtime by enhancing alerting and response measures
✅ Ensuring business continuity and system reliability
✅ Collaborating with development teams to improve deployment pipelines
What You'll Need
🔹 Strong Java development & troubleshooting skills
🔹 Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment
🔹 Proficiency in database technologies (Sybase/DB2)
🔹 Experience in software development lifecycle and configuration management
🔹 Knowledge of infrastructure automation, monitoring, and CI/CD tools
🔹 Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly
