Are you a procurement expert with a passion for social housing and supply chain management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Consultant to join a well-established social housing main contractor for an initial 6-month contract.

Position: Procurement Consultant
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Location: National (Flexible)
Daily Rate: Competitive (Dependent on experience)

Role Overview:

As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the supply chain, with a particular focus on maintenance subcontractors. Your expertise will ensure the contractor continues to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions for social housing projects. You will work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline procurement processes, strengthen relationships, and ensure robust contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the management and optimisation of the supply chain, focusing on maintenance subcontractors.
Review and assess existing procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
Work with suppliers and subcontractors to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring best value for money.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement strategies align with project needs and company objectives.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on supply chain management within the social housing sector
Strong knowledge of managing subcontractor relationships and contracts in the maintenance space.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with procurement best practices and compliance standards.
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically.
