Contract Length: 3 months initially
Location: Glasgow (6 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Low Level train station)
Working Model: Hybrid working available (3 days onsite)

Our client is seeking a talented Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Solution Architect to join their team and support the delivery of strategic cyber control solutions. This role focuses on vulnerability and compliance management, security governance and assurance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and define security solution architectures across the organisation, ensuring governance, compliance, and risk management principles are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to incorporate solution-specific expertise into decision-making processes.
  • Provide detailed security solution architecture input for strategic architecture projects, ensuring secure solution creation aligned with business outcomes.
  • Ensure all solutions are user-friendly and contribute tangibly to the value of dependent services while integrating seamlessly.
  • Develop reusable solution patterns and briefing documents for the team.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to oversee the implementation of security solutions.
  • Create and maintain roadmaps for security technologies and processes aligned with relevant strategies and standards.
  • Assist enterprise architects in vendor selection to ensure optimal value for money.
  • Contribute to research initiatives, including proof of concept and proof of value projects.
  • Understand the implications of transformation by engaging with business technology stakeholders.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven track record in solution architecture within large-scale, complex environments.
  • Familiarity with EA frameworks such as TOGAF.
  • Background in cyber security, with operational, delivery, or forensics experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing business cases, securing stakeholder approvals, and ensuring delivery of business benefits.
  • Subject matter expert in a relevant technology field.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated, organised, proactive, and flexible in approach.
  • Ability to challenge processes while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a knack for visualising complex concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in interpreting stakeholder needs and addressing business and technical issues.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a thirst for knowledge.
  • Experience of working with Qualys, ServiceNow SecOps and Cloud Technologies would be an advantage, as well as agile methods and DevSecOps tooling.

Qualifications:

Recognised formal security qualification (eg, CISSP, CISM) or equivalent experience (5+ years in a security role).
