Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their Infrastructure Support Team and play a key role in managing and enhancing their IT infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, global environment, supporting physical, virtual, and cloud-based systems while ensuring best-in-class security and performance.
The role is based in West Central London (Knightsbridge) and the post holder will be required to work on site 4 days per week (one day working from home).
Responsibilities:
- Provide systems administration across infrastructure, networking, and security technologies.
- Act as a senior escalation point for 1st and 2nd line support teams.
- Oversee incident management and response, ensuring rapid resolution.
- Support project delivery, including Microsoft 365 rollout and Azure cloud implementations.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, security best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with third-party providers and internal IT teams to optimize service delivery.
Required skills and experience:
- 5+ years' experience in IT support, ideally within a mid to enterprise-size business.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 Cloud administration
- Expertise in VMware virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, LAN/WAN (Cisco Networks, Firewalls).
- Strong knowledge of Cyber Security principles, vulnerability management, and compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server Technologies (2012, 2016, 2019, SCCM, SQL, Exchange).
- Experience in patch management, vulnerability assessments, and security best practices.
Desirable:
- Powershell Scripting, Citrix XenApp, and Netscaler experience.
- Industry certifications such as ITIL, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, or a related computing degree are a plus.
