Rate: €550-600 per day

About the Role

A public sector client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join their Applications Development Division. The successful candidate will lead the Digital Data Collection for Enterprise project, overseeing the architectural design and implementation of an integrated data collection and processing system.

This role requires expertise in metadata-driven systems, systems integration, and international best practices in digital data collection. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders, provide technical leadership, and ensure the project's architecture aligns with business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Architecture Design: Develop scalable and flexible system architecture supporting strategic objectives.
  • Systems Integration: Design and implement integration solutions ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Metadata Management: Implement a metadata-first model and document data lineage, dictionaries, and standards.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Establish governance frameworks and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (including GDPR).
  • Technology Leadership: Evaluate, recommend, and implement cutting-edge data management technologies.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work with IT teams, business units, and external stakeholders to align architectural standards.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
Key Deliverables
  • Development of a comprehensive system architecture framework.
  • Implementation of ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration solutions.
  • Creation of a centralized metadata repository for governance and quality.
  • Documented policies and procedures for data governance and compliance.
  • Security and compliance assessments ensuring GDPR adherence.
  • Optimization of data workflows and processes.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • 7+ years experience as a Solutions Architect/Full Stack Developer.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms and their integration.
  • Expertise in database design, data modelling, and integration.
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL tools, big data platforms, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or C#.
  • Experience with Architectural Standards (eg, TOGAF) and Software Design Patterns.
  • Knowledge of metadata management, governance frameworks, and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Fluent English
  • Full availability to start in April 2025.
Working Arrangements
  • Hybrid role with minimum 2 days onsite in Cork (flexibility required).
  • Full-time position, Monday-Friday (8-hour days, excluding breaks).
  • Occasional travel to Dublin sites may be required.
