Our Banking client requires an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Business Analysis team. The successful candidate will likely work on the Managed Services Generation 3 project but may be assigned to other portfolio projects.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for capturing business and technical requirements, stakeholder management, process analysis, and supporting the project team with artefacts and documentation.

Location: Dublin
Rate: €500
Length: 6 months - likely for 2 years

Key Responsibilities

  1. Requirements Management
    • Discovery, development, and tracking of business and technical requirements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit and define project needs.
    • Maintain requirement documentation using Azure DevOps (AzDo) or similar agile tools.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement & Workshop Facilitation
    • Conduct workshops with internal teams, external vendors, and SMEs.
    • Track workshop outputs, requirements, and action items.
    • Manage and influence challenging stakeholders.
  3. Documentation & Process Mapping
    • Create and maintain business process models and workflow diagrams.
    • Map ITIL Service Delivery requirements, focusing on process improvement and documentation.
    • Assist in developing key project artefacts as required by the Programme/Project Manager.
  4. Project Support & Coordination
    • Support infrastructure-related initiatives, including Data Centre projects.
    • Contribute to public procurement tenders, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
    • Work within different Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) models, including V-model and iterative waterfall approaches.
  1. Experience Level
    • Minimum of 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst.
  2. Availability
    • Must be available from the anticipated start date (March 2025).
  3. Educational Qualification
    • A degree or diploma in a relevant field (specific qualifications not required but preferred).

The ideal candidate will have experience working on large and complex projects in a public sector or regulated environment. The selection process will assess the following key competencies:

  1. Business Analysis Techniques (Requirements Elicitation & Management)
    • Strong understanding of business process modelling and workflow design.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (AzDo) or similar agile tools for requirement tracking.
  2. Stakeholder Management
    • Ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
    • Experience in managing challenging stakeholders and aligning diverse viewpoints.
  3. Project Prioritisation & Execution
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  4. Technical & Process Improvement Skills
    • Experience with ITIL Service Delivery, particularly in mapping and improving processes.
    • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  5. Infrastructure & Public Sector Experience
    • Prior experience with large-scale infrastructure projects.
    • Data Centre project experience is highly desirable.
    • Experience working on public procurement tenders is an advantage.
