Solutions Developer

  • Location: Hybrid - on site monthly in Taunton
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £37,000 per annum + benefits

Join our client's team as a Solutions Developer, responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining interfaces, system integration, and other technical developments. This role involves designing, creating, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and bespoke solutions across various technologies. The ideal candidate will lead system, integration, and interface development projects and provide expert technical support.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work on system, integration, and interface development projects.
  • Work as part of a team to develop functional systems using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks.
  • Ensure high-quality IT service delivery in accordance with defined policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support digital solutions and systems integration.
  • Manage system upgrades, planning, implementation, and testing.
  • Present proposed and completed developments to product owners, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of end-user needs and system operations to support intended workflows and objectives.
  • Act as an escalation point within the Solution Development Team for development, system integration, and interface enquiries.
  • Provide specialist professional advice and support to clinical and operational teams regarding system integration and interfaces.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must Have:

    • Experience working within a development/support environment.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of how applications are assembled, tested, and maintained.
    • Strong database experience and familiarity with API usage.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a tight-knit team.
    • Proficiency in two or more of the following technologies already adopted by the team:
      • .NET
      • XML/JSON
      • SQL
      • C++
      • C#
      • Angular
      • jQuery
      • Transact-SQL
      • JavaScript
      • Intersystems ObjectScript
  • Useful:

    • Experience with HL7 messaging and interfacing.
