Role: Salesforce Developer
Location: Glasgow
Duration: 05 months

Job description:

This role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, coupled with a strong background in GitLab pipeline development and 2GP package management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the adoption of best practices, leading by example, and fostering a community of engineering excellence within our Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Platform Expertise:
Design, develop, and maintain complex Salesforce solutions, including custom objects, fields, workflows, approvals, and triggers.
Optimize Salesforce performance and scalability.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.

GitLab Pipeline Development:
Develop and maintain robust GitLab pipelines for Salesforce deployments.
Ensure pipeline efficiency, reliability, and security.
Integrate GitLab CI/CD with Salesforce DevOps tools.

2GP Package Management:

Design, build, test, and operate 2GP packages in accordance with standards.
Ensure package quality and compliance.
Manage package dependencies and version control.

Community of Practice Leadership:

Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the Salesforce engineering community.
Lead by example, demonstrating best practices and innovation.
Enable a federated operating model by providing guidance and support to distributed teams.

Problem Solving and Innovation:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Stay up-to-date with Salesforce and industry trends.
Contribute to the development of new Salesforce solutions and capabilities.


Essential Skills and Experience

Proven experience in Salesforce development with a strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and SOQL.
Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
In-depth knowledge of 2GP package development life cycle.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Desirable Skills and Experience

Salesforce certifications (eg, Platform Developer I/II, Architect).
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience with Salesforce data migration and integration.
Understanding of financial services industry regulations.
