Job Title: Consenting Specialist - Offshore Wind
Location: Dublin (Flexible working available)
Duration: 1 year (with possibility for extension)
Day Rate: €800-850

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Consenting Specialist to support the delivery of offshore wind projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in project consenting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and optimizing consenting strategies in line with project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in achieving project milestones by supporting and coordinating consenting tasks.
  • Prepare and review technical scopes of work related to environmental consenting.
  • Identify and communicate project risks, supporting mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the project Consenting Strategy.
  • Manage environmental and technical consultants, reviewing technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and Scottish environmental regulations, including EIA, marine licensing, and planning.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Key Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in environmental consenting and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) within the offshore wind sector.
  • Degree (Level 8) in Engineering or Environmental Science (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of offshore wind farm consenting processes and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a solution-focused manner.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel as required.

Desirable:

  • Master's degree (Level 9) in Engineering or related field.
  • Chartered status in a relevant professional institution.
  • Project management qualification.
