Job Title: Consenting Specialist - Offshore Wind
Location: Dublin (Flexible working available)
Duration: 1 year (with possibility for extension)
Day Rate: €800-850
We are seeking an experienced Consenting Specialist to support the delivery of offshore wind projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in project consenting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and optimizing consenting strategies in line with project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in achieving project milestones by supporting and coordinating consenting tasks.
- Prepare and review technical scopes of work related to environmental consenting.
- Identify and communicate project risks, supporting mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the project Consenting Strategy.
- Manage environmental and technical consultants, reviewing technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with UK and Scottish environmental regulations, including EIA, marine licensing, and planning.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Essential:
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in environmental consenting and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) within the offshore wind sector.
- Degree (Level 8) in Engineering or Environmental Science (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of offshore wind farm consenting processes and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a solution-focused manner.
- Valid driving license and ability to travel as required.
Desirable:
- Master's degree (Level 9) in Engineering or related field.
- Chartered status in a relevant professional institution.
- Project management qualification.
