6-month FTC - High chance of going perm
Are you a product leader who thrives on fixing broken processes, aligning teams, and tackling tough vendor relationships head-on?
This is not your standard Head of Product role. We need someone who can walk into a challenging but exciting environment, quickly assess what's working (and what isn't), build trust with stakeholders, and drive real change. You'll be leading product for a well-established finance business, working with a critical but difficult third-party tech provider while rebuilding confidence in an under-supported internal team.
What's the challenge?
- Own & drive product strategy - Lead the roadmap, align with the business, and push for innovation.
- Fix a tough vendor relationship - The core platform is managed by a difficult third party, and we need someone who can build trust and transparency with them while keeping them accountable.
- Rebuild the internal product team - This small but talented team has lacked strong leadership. Your job? Give them their confidence back and set a clear direction.
- Stakeholder management is everything - Senior leadership needs a strong communicator who can cut through the noise, understand priorities, and get buy-in.
- Deliver a complex platform migration - The business is moving to a new core system, and it's not been smooth sailing. You'll need to bring structure, clarity, and direction.
What you'll need to smash this role:
- 7-8+ years in Product Management - in tech, fintech or ideally SaaS.
- A track record of managing tough third-party relationships - You know how to influence, push back, and drive results.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - You're great at navigating internal politics, getting buy-in, and making things happen.
- Experience leading a team - Coaching, mentoring, and bringing out the best in people.
- Strong commercial mindset - You understand product, but you also get the business side and can drive real impact.
- Agile, data-driven, and customer-focused - You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
The Details
Location: Chester (you'll need to be in the office every Tuesday & Wednesday).
Contract: 6-month FTC - but with a very high chance of going permanent there after.
Salary: £85,000 - £90,000.
This is a rare opportunity to make a huge impact in a high-growth business. If you love solving real business problems, turning chaos into structure, and leading teams through change, this is your role.
