Low Carbon Consultant / Energy Assessor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Low Carbon Consultant / Energy Assessor to join a growing consultancy in our client's Nottingham or Leeds office.

The Role: As a Low Carbon Consultant / Energy Assessor, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Building Services Designers, Revit Technicians, Building Physicists, and Document Controllers. You will contribute to a diverse range of projects across various market sectors, providing expertise in energy compliance, sustainability, building physics, and carbon calculations. The role spans all RIBA stages (0-6), from feasibility to final construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the design team in meeting sustainability, energy, and low-carbon targets
Use IES software to create dynamic simulation models for building performance analysis
Prepare Energy Compliance (BRUKL), CIBSE TM52, and TM54 reports
Conduct assessments for heat loss/gain, daylighting, and ventilation
Collaborate with Low Carbon Consultants and Design Engineers on projects
Manage your own workload and lead individual projects
Provide guidance on BREEAM, Energy, and Low Carbon design solutionsPreferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Registered Non-Domestic Energy Assessor
Level 5 IES Energy Assessor - Proficient User
CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant
Degree or HNC/D in a relevant subject (or equivalent)
In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations Part L
Strong time management skills with a flexible, organised approach
A team player with the ability to work independently when requiredBenefits:
