We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Product Owner to join a team in Nenagh, Ireland. In this contract role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products that meet customer needs and business objectives. Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Backlog Management

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and business goals.
  • Write clear, concise, and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure the backlog is well-maintained, organized, and ready for sprint planning sessions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring their needs are effectively translated into product deliverables.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the development team, advocating for user-centric design and functionality.

Agile Team Support

  • Work closely with the development team during sprints to clarify requirements, remove blockers, and ensure successful delivery of features.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support the Agile process.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product increments that meet defined goals and quality standards.

Market and User Insights

  • Conduct research and analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Use data and insights to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation, including release notes, user guides, and training materials.
  • Provide regular updates to the Product Manager and key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.

Qualifications and ExperienceEducation:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role within an Agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience in writing user stories, managing backlogs, and collaborating with development teams.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles and Agile methodologies (eg, Scrum, Kanban).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and the importance of user-centric design.
