Role Title: Domain/Enterprise Architect
Required Core Skills:
1. Banking domain experience/Banking expertise
2. Solution architect/Enterprise Architect related experience
3. Must have a good understanding of various technologies, to propose designs/architecture for the client.
Domains we are looking for:
1. Core Banking
2. Lending and other Banking products like Current Accounts, Credit Cards etc.
3. Banking Operations
Minimum years of experience: 10
DETILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Enterprise Architect/Domain Architect is the lead architect for the Value Stream. They have overall accountability for architecture in the Value Stream. They are focused on longer term, future state, considering the overall architecture for the domain, how different solutions come together. They are heavily involved in the Designing and Refining cycle of the SDLC.
They are responsible for ensuring that the solutions developed across the Value Stream align with relevant standards and guardrails set by the Enterprise Architecture Chapter, and the wider bank strategy. They are also responsible for advocating prioritisation of delivery of relevant change to ensure adherence to standards/guardrails set by chapters.
The VS Domain Architect will have deep knowledge of solutions and technologies across their Value Stream Area.
Key Responsibilities
-Defining the architectural vision & strategy for the specific domain, ensuring alignment with the broader technological and business strategies of the bank.
-Ensuring integration & cohesiveness by making certain that domain-specific designs and solutions integrate effectively with other parts of the bank's enterprise architecture.
-Collaborating on stakeholder engagement with business leaders, IT teams, and other architects to address domain-specific needs and challenges.
-Researching for innovation & evolution to stay updated with emerging technologies and methodologies within the domain.
-Ensuring compliance & risk management by aligning all domain-specific solutions with industry regulations and the bank's policies.
-Creating documentation & facilitating knowledge sharing to maintain comprehensive domain architecture records.
-Providing project support & governance through architectural oversight, ensuring alignment with established architectural principles.
-Optimising for operational efficiency within the domain's technological processes and infrastructure for better reliability and scalability.
-Establishing strategic direction and future state for platforms and applications within the Domain
-Keeping abreast with continuous learning & professional development to be updated on domain-specific trends and best practices.
-Accountable for completion of IRDs, ADRs and HLDs
-In the transition state, Domain Architects may provide support to the Architecture Chapters to define key standards, strategies and guardrails
-Produce solution designs within the guardrails created by the Architecture Chapters
-Engage Architecture chapters where proposed solutions deviate from guardrails
