Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Working Hours & Salary:

The working hours in this role are 4 on 4 off (days & nights, 7am - 7pm & 7pm – 7am)

Salary: £47,600 per annum

Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufacuting business based in the Cheshire area. We are looking for an experience Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a full time, perminent basis.

Key Accountabilities:

* Maintain and promote health and safety standards across site working safely at all times.

* Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.

* Expected to carry out all maintenance and repairs across the factory, in both a low care and high care environment.

* Attend to breakdowns when necessary, ensuring that there is always a rapid response, and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised. Always endeavour to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery.

* Carry out repairs to plant and equipment effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team.

* To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output.

* Identify areas of improvement to increase equipment reliability and efficiencies.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience

* Manufacturing Industry experience – Industry considered: Packaging, Food, FMCG.

* Good Communication

* Engineering Knowledge both electrical and mechanical.

* Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
