Overview:

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities:

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems 

Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects 

Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems 

Performs complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end 

Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools 

Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis 

Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects 

Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology 

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals 

May serve as a team or task lead 

Qualifications:

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with eligibility to pass a CI Poly

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience 

8+ years of related experience

Required Skills:

Linus Systems Administration 

Desired Skills: 

A deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following: Operational support 

Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng) 

Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies 

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) 

Ceph storage platform 

GitLab 

Scripting / Coding (Bash, Python, etc.) 

Kubernetes 

Ansible 

Helm charts 

Automation
