Now operating from a purpose built BRC accredited site, they create and produce award winning fresh and frozen bespoke meals.
They have heavily invested over the past six months in preparation for the increase in volume and the time is now right to recruit a Quality Manager to join the team.
Key Accountabilities
* Ensuring Quality, Safety and Legality of Products is maintained, through effective management of QMS
* Development & implementation of HACCP and food safety procedures
* Supplier auditing and approval (external and internal audits)
* Ensure constant improvement of both product quality and standards on site
* Respond to and resolve customer complaints
* Co-ordinates shelf life and end of life determination
* To complete any customer specific reports and KPI’s as required
* To ensure detailed and accurate information is provided for the site
* To assist Technical Manager in the preparation of site visits and audits
* Deputise in the absence of the Technical Manager
* To ensure all the procedures are complying with the customer requirements
Person Profile
* Previous experience within technical / QA department
* Food related qualifications
* Operating within the guidelines of BRCGS and customer standards
* Good knowledge of label and product specifications information
* HACCP level 2 or above
* Able to demonstrate areas of change culture
* Site based role 60 % Factory 40% Office based
* This role is open to someone who is looking take on their first management role
