IT Infrastructure Engineering Specialist

Role - Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing technical solutions for customers and colleagues, resolving inter-system issues.
• Support technology choices, architecture decisions, and delivery of high-performance products.
• Collaborate with teams to design and develop software solutions for smaller projects, ensuring quality.
• Assist with project planning, monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Communicate with stakeholders to manage actions and impacts on other components.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and defects.
• Review work to flag potential issues and maintain systems by fixing software defects.
• Contribute to delivering technical roadmaps and support engineering excellence initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Basic command-line skills (Bash, PowerShell).
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of IP Networking, troubleshooting, and IT security management.
• Awareness of Agile methodologies and microservices architecture.

Desirable:

• Windows Server, Oracle database knowledge, CISCO accreditation, and basic programming skills (Bash, Perl).
• Problem-solving skills, ability to support production systems.
• Familiarity with Linux and Scripting.
