FinOps Lead - fully remote within the UK

Summary:
The FinOps Lead is a pivotal role in demonstrating the value that Cloud Technology brings globally. This position involves defining and delivering the component parts of cloud billing and optimisation, and supporting effective planning. The FinOps Lead must be a recognised expert in Cloud FinOps, merging cloud engineering technical expertise with a thorough understanding of cost optimisation and financial budget management. The role requires significant impact through the ability to work across the business, build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, ensure shared understanding of the financial implications of Cloud infrastructure, and drive business decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

Leading the FinOps Service globally via a mix of people and contracts.
Owning relationships across the business and driving better business outcomes based on data, experience, and change.
Meeting or exceeding FinOps targets for cost reallocation and cloud optimisation.
Proactive and effective management of the Global FinOps services.
Positively impacting customer satisfaction and driving FinOps culture across the enterprise.

Skills:
Significant previous experience within a globally distributed cloud technology group as a FinOps professional.
Experience in leading, managing, or supervising technical staff and projects.
Proven success in improving the customer experience.
Experience working within a Matrix structure.
Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Appreciation of Cloud Diagramming and visualisation.
Experience in cloud engineering.
Advanced knowledge in cost allocation strategies.
Strong experience in cost optimisation in cloud technology.
Strong experience in financial data analysis.
Experience in developing technical documentation.

Certifications & Standards:
Certified FinOps Practitioner is preferred
