Location: Dunton (Hybrid) 1 Day a week in the office but must be flexible to Ad Hoc visits. (must own a vehicle as the Client site is not accessible by public transport)
Salary/Rate: £42.46/Per hour | £318/Per Day
Start Date: 27/01/2025

Company Introduction

My global automotive client based in Dunton, Essex is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to assist with an enterprise-level transformation project.

*Candidates applying must be able to drive to Dunton, Essex when required as the client site is not accessible via public transport.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

Develop and automate scalable cloud solutions using GCP native tools

Build & maintain data products in accordance with GDI&A Data Factory standards

Operationalize and automate data best practices: quality, auditable, timeliness and complete

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Experience programming and Scripting experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark.

Ability to work effectively across organizations, product teams, and business partners.

Knowledge of Agile Methodology, experience in writing user stories

Demonstrated ability to lead data engineering projects, design sessions and deliverables to successful completion.

Experience of GCP Cloud experience with solutions designed and implemented at production scale.

Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts - experience with Data Warehouse/ETL processes

Strong process discipline and thorough understating of IT processes (ISP, Data Security).

Critical thinking skills to propose data solutions, test, and make them a reality.

Deep understanding of data service ecosystems including data warehousing, lakes, metadata, meshes, fabrics and AI/ML use cases.

User experience advocacy through empathetic stakeholder relationships.

Effective Communication both internally (with team members) and externally (with stakeholders)

Must be able to take customer requirements, conceptualize solutions, and build scalable/extensible systems that can be easily expanded or enhanced in the future.
