Job Title: Oracle Core DBA (6-Month Contract)

Location: Dublin, Ireland (On-site 3 days per week)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Core Database Administrator on behalf of our client for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Oracle database environments, ensuring performance, security, and availability while supporting business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Monitor and optimize database performance (SQL tuning, indexing, etc.).
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies (eg, RMAN).
• Apply patches, upgrades, and troubleshoot database issues.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
• Ensure database security and high availability using tools like Oracle RAC and Data Guard.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Oracle Core DBA in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle tools (RMAN, Data Pump) and high-availability solutions.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Shell Scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Information:

• This role requires candidates to be on-site in Dublin, Ireland, for 3 days a week.
