Software Developer (Remote)

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and Django and be familiar with Agile methodologies. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaboration with a dynamic team and contributing to delivering value-driven outcomes is a key part of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications using Python 3.6 and Django 5.
2. Agile Participation: Actively engage in Agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
3. Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and industry standards.
4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
5. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python 3.6
• Experience with Django 5
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working

Desirable Skills:

• Full-stack development experience with Wagtail 6.2
• Knowledge of AWS for cloud-based deployments
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL
• Front End development skills, including CSS and Tailwind
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Kanban and Scrum

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in software development, particularly with the required skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
