Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer - Cambridge

Automotive Electronics | ISO 26262 | Competitive Package

Leading global automotive technology company seeks an experienced Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our growing team in Cambridge. You'll be working on cutting-edge chassis control products within a collaborative international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural development of electronic systems for automotive applications, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards
  • Design and implement complex circuits including H-bridges, MOSFET Switches, and various communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • Own the full product development life cycle from concept through to production, including verification and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to deliver innovative solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in electronic hardware design and Embedded systems
  • Strong expertise in circuit design, particularly with automotive microcontrollers and power electronics
  • Proven track record in taking designs from architecture through to production
  • Experience with automotive safety standards and functionally safe hardware development
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer and SPICE simulation tools
  • Experience with EMC, environmental testing, and design for manufacture
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
