Frontend/Full Stack Developer (JavaScript/GIS Data)

• c£425 to £475 per day (Outside-IR35)

The Opportunity:

Consulting as either a Frontend or Full Stack Developer you will help deliver responsive User Interfaces which incorporate geospatial data into interactive maps for a major central government project.

These services will contribute to the creation of solutions that align with the principles of digital twins, and there are opportunists for those looking to work in a hands on development role, or technical leadership/client engagement position.

Skills and Experience for the Developer Positions:

• Front End development with JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, React, TypeScript)
• Experience working with GIS or Mapping libraries (MapLibre, Leaflet, Geojson, Mapbox, Google Maps, etc.).
• Able to create eye catching responsive interfaces and visualisations
• Experience working with Government departments or GDS environments would be highly beneficial
• Strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration.
• Experience designing, consuming, and integrating RESTful APIs to enable communication between Front End and Back End services.

Additional Skills for the Leadership role:

• An in-depth understanding of a Back End programming language (Node.js, Python, C#.net)
• Skilled in using relational, non-relational and object store data storage solutions.
• Familiar with testing frameworks and methodologies (unit/integration/automation testing)
• Knowledge of security best practices (eg, RBAC, ABAC) in software application development.
• Familiar with Kubernetes for deploying and managing data pipelines in a containerised environment.
• Experience with cloud hosting technologies (AWS preferred).
