Network Engineer - Cisco - Azure - Palo Alto

Our client, a leading Investment Manager, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their London-based team. This role offers a balance of BAU network support and an exciting pipeline of project work, giving you the opportunity to contribute to critical enterprise infrastructure in a global environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating Cisco ACI infrastructure (bonus).
• Automating network tasks using Terraform, Python, and Ansible.
• Managing and optimizing Palo Alto Firewalls (key), including Panorama and security policies.
• Overseeing SD-WAN management (must-have) and cloud networking in Azure (ideal).
• Maintaining enterprise networking hardware: Cisco IOS-XE Routers, Nexus Switches, and 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Utilizing Cisco ISE for network access control (802.1x, TACACS) and F5 Big-IP load balancers.
• Monitoring performance and ensuring uptime using Logic Monitor.
• Participating in an on-call rotation (every third week or occasional weekends).

Key Skills and Experience:

• CCNP certification (or equivalent experience); CCIE preferred.
• Advanced expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, SD-WAN, and Azure networking.
• Strong automation and Scripting experience with Terraform, Python, and Ansible.
• Solid knowledge of Cisco ISE, F5 Big-IP, and routing protocols.
