Senior Ruby Developer - Payments Integration

Fully Remote | UK Based

Day Rate: £500 outside IR35

Are you an experienced Ruby Developer with a passion for payment integrations? We're looking for a Senior Developer to join a forward-thinking technology team, driving innovation and delivering seamless payment solutions on a contracting basis.

The Role:

As a Senior Ruby Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining payment integration systems that support a growing ecosystem. Your technical expertise and innovative approach will help deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions, ensuring excellent customer experience

Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and maintain payment integration systems using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance and reliability
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and QA, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Develop and enhance integrations with third-party payment gateways, ensuring secure and efficient payment processing.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical challenges to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Implement scalable architecture to accommodate growth and evolving business requirement

Requirement:

  • Proven experience with Ruby on Rails and knowledge of payment gateways or payment processing integrations.
  • Minimum of 5 years in software engineering roles with a focus on Ruby development and integrations.
  • Understanding of payment systems, transaction workflows, and relevant compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, capable of working with stakeholders across various functions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
