Management Accountant - Housing Needs
We are seeking candidates with knowledge and experience of managing the financial implications of Homelessness. This role supports the Finance Business Partner and cost centre managers in Housing Needs Team for the Council.
Key accountabilities:
- Co-ordinate the Budget Monitoring report by setting up spreadsheets and tables to enhance financial monitoring and reporting and co-ordinating responses on forecasts and performance statistics.
- Provision of appropriate, accurate and timely budgetary control information to budget holders, including salaries monitoring and forecasting.
- Provide the full financial support function including preparing estimates, closing tasks, and ad hoc financial advice.
- Co-ordinate, monitor and review Efficiency/Value for Money statement details and any subsequent central government initiative to assess efficiency of the services.
Key requirements:
- Knowledge and experience of managing the financial implications of Homelessness.
- Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualified or comparable relevant experience.
- A good understanding of local government finance.
