Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: London - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Additional benefits

The position:
Provides IT services from the London office by assisting with operational management of IT Infrastructure, Application Services and Supporting IT Infrastructure projects. Contributes to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our IT services. This role is primarily focused on IT Infrastructure (Windows, Virtualization & Storage) as well as long term projects improving IT the organisation. Support the remote site teams with L3 Support and mentorship on their IT Infrastructure queries.

Experience

• Experienced with Windows Server & GPO's and Active Directory
• Experience working under pressure in challenging and crisis situations
• Experience providing services to demanding internal customers
• Experience in applying data driven and risk management approach to decision making
• Experience in working with suppliers and vendors

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to share insights with stakeholders at all levels
• High-level collaboration skills, problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Project management skills for orchestrating infrastructure migrations and system integrations
• ITIL experience

Windows Servers: Deep knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022. Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services. Capable of managing and troubleshooting complex Windows Server environments to ensure optimal performance and security.

Virtualization Technologies:

VMWare: Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi. Experienced in designing, deploying, and managing virtualized environments, including creating and managing virtual machines, configuring virtual networks, and optimizing resource allocation. Skilled in using VMware tools for monitoring and maintaining virtual infrastructure.

Hyper-V: Proficient in Microsoft Hyper-V, including setting up and managing Hyper-V hosts, creating and configuring virtual machines, and integrating with System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). Knowledgeable in Hyper-V clustering, live migration, and disaster recovery solutions.

Storage Systems: Relative experience with SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) solutions. Proficient in configuring, managing, and optimizing storage arrays from leading vendors such as PURE Storage, Cohesity, and Dell EMC. Skilled in implementing storage solutions that ensure high availability, redundancy, and performance.
