Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Craft Isolations) - Leven - £300-£350 per day - 6 months+

My client, a FTSE 100 company, is on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer with the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID's, as well as able to confirm P&ID accuracy in the field.

The aim is to ensure safe isolation of plant, associated schedules are compiled and then physically executed in a timely manner within an operational window, using current legislation and company standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• To provide safe isolation solutions to comply with legislation and ensure that site can demonstrate effective and safe LOTO procedures.
• Excellent understanding of engineering LOTO strategies for safety system maintenance.
• Ensure P&ID's are checked against physical routes, updated and red-lined where necessary, and liaise with CAD team to update.
• Ensure all mechanical site P&ID's and associated documents are up to date and readily accessible/available.
• Develop isolation schedules and documentation.
• Support LOTO install during commissioning of I/O testing, coordinating with both electrical, mechanical & C&I teams. (some out of hours work anticipated during IO commissioning only in April/May 2024)
• Prepare weekly progress reports and updates to key stakeholders and Project leads.
• At all times adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards.
• At all times work to all applicable legislative procedures.
• Maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.
