Therapist-Adult Mental Health Outpatient

District 19 Community Services Board, located in Old Towne Petersburg, is seeking a full time licensed therapist in providing mental health therapy to adults residing in the District 19 CSB catchment area, utilizing clinically sound and evidence based practices.
As it pertains to outpatient mental health therapy, services to be provided include assessment, treatment planning, individual, group and family counseling, case coordination, case management, referrals, crisis intervention coordination, discharge planning and associated record keeping. The incumbent will provide in-service trainings to D19 CSB staff and requested trainings to community stakeholders. The incumbent will work cooperatively with other stakeholders to secure the most appropriate, least restrictive services for consumers.
The incumbent reports to and receives clinical and general supervision from the Petersburg Adult Clinic Manager. The incumbent is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and professional practice standards associated with the field of substance use disorders and mental health. In carrying out the position requirements, the incumbent will exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, maintain a high degree of confidentiality, and sustain a working relationship with D19 Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse Services personnel.
Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):
Professional license (ie LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCP) required.
Preferred Qualifications/Other Relevant Job Information:
Minimum one year clinical experience working with adults. Prefer crisis intervention experience. Prefer experience providing individual and group therapy. Prefer extensive experience working with SMI adults. Prefer strong knowledge of adult mental health issues and diagnosis. Prefer clinical record documentation skills.
Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred.
Position is a grade 211, salaried position. The minimum starting salary is $47,476.00.00 minimum
Starting salary for new employees will be based on the prospective employee's knowledge, skills and abilities directly relating to the position's duties. Current or most recent verified salary will also be taken into consideration prior to making an offer of employment. Starting salaries for new employees will not exceed the advertised maximum and will be based on the availability of funding within the current budget.
